좌 이주열(LG CNS 상무), 중 짠시닷 학생, 우 유일해 학생지난 2024년 8월 16일 ‘2024년 한국인공지능학회 하계학술대회’가 부산 벡스코에서 개최되었다.본 행사는 인공지능과 관련한 컴퓨터비전 및 패턴인식, 자연어 처리, 바이오 인포매틱스, 뇌인지컴퓨팅, 기계학습 및 그와 관련한 응용 분야 등에 관한 학문-기술의 최근 동향과 혁신적인 연구 성과를 공유하는 자리로 관련 연구소, 대학, 기업, 정부에서 참가하였다.본 행사에서는 인공지능/머신러닝 전 분야에서 다양한 주제로 논문이 접수되었으며, 총 100여 편의 논문(풀페이퍼 형식)이 채택되었으며 최우수상 3편, 우수상 4편을 선정하였다. 이 중 부산대학교 부산대학교 영상계산 및 머신러닝 연구실(지도교수: 감진규) 석사과정 짠시닷, 유일해, 이희창, 김준희 학생이 ‘Enhancing Multimodal Image-Based Classification of Alzheimer’s Disease with Surface Information’을 주제로 한 연구가 최우수상을 수상하여 오럴 발표를 진행하였다.위 연구는 자기공명영상(MRI)으로부터 계산된 서피스(Surface) 기반 정보를 학습한 진단 모델의 지식을 지식 증류(Knowledge distillation)를 통해 볼륨 기반의 멀티모달 진단 모델에 전이시키는 방법을 제안하여 볼륨 기반 모델이 서피스 기반의 표현을 효과적으로 학습할 수 있도록 하고, 3차원 데이터의 특징 관계를 효율적으로 모델링할 수 있는 MVC(Multi-view, Multi-convolution) 구조를 제시하여 알츠하이머병 진단 정확도를 향상했다. 좌-우 짠시닷, 유일해, 김준희, 이희창 학생 우수논문 발표 세션, 우 짠시닷 학생* 연구 논문제목: Enhancing Multimodal Image-Based Classification of Alzheimer’s Disease with Surface Information초록: In recent years, numerous studies have established individual or combined imaging modalities as fundamental approaches for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Addition ally, cortical surface analysis has proven effective in brain disorder research due to its ability to depict brain structure. This study intro duces a novel multimodal methodology that integrates information from both imaging and sur face data for AD diagnosis. Specifically, we leverage knowledge from surface representation to enhance the performance of multimodal image-based classification, streamlining the inference process by relying solely on image modalities. Furthermore, we have designed a multi-view, multi-convolution block to improve the representation capabilities of image extractors. We demonstrate the reliability of the proposed method using the entire ADNI series dataset, including ADNI1, ADNI2, and ADNI3, with comparison to previous studies that focused solely on ADNI1. Our method shows promising results in early diagnosis of AD, surpassing conventional approaches with an 80% balanced ac curacy (BACC) for ADNI1. We validate the robustness of the proposed method on the ADNI2 and ADNI3 datasets, which incorporate more contemporary PET modalities for brain disease, demonstrating its consistent performance with a result of 79% BACC.
